The apartment
is located in the Haute Savoie village of Onnion. The village is a
traditional "Savoyard" village which remains unspoiled despite
the fact that it is easily accessible for visitors from both the United
Kingdom and France. Onnion
is not as well known (or as busy !) as neighbouring villages, such
as Les Gets and Morzine, but it is perfectly located for access
to the Les Brasses region, situated as it is at the foot of the
Pointe des Brasses and enjoying panoramic views including Mont Blanc.
Most of
the other resorts are no more than 45 minutes drive away. These
include Morzine (35 km), Avoriaz, Les Gets, Samoens (29km), Flaine
(27km) and Le Grand Bornand (42 km) etc. Chamonix (62km) is reached
by motorway in less than an hour. For 'serious' shopping, Cluses
is only 21 km and Anemasse (Geneve) 28 km.
Onnion
is a typical alpine village, but caters well for the self catering
visitor with a mini supermarket, bakery and patisserie, as well
as bars and restaurants. There is also a church and a tourist information
centre.
The heated outdoor swimming pool is popular with visitors in the summer months, as are the municipal tennis courts. The village also hosts many festivities during peak season, at which visitors to the region are always made to feel very welcome.
Access by Road:
The village of Onnion is exactly 528 miles from the port of Calais

UK Visitors can fly to Geneva, Chambery or Lyon.
Geneva
is the closest airport (36 km). Geneva airport is also served by
