Located just 40 minutes from Geneva airport (36 km), Onnion provides excellent access to more than 50km of local downhill ski runs and another 50km of Nordic ski tracks (In the summer, the tracks double as mountain bike routes) for those who prefer a more energetic winter holiday. The larger ski resorts of Morzine (35km), Avoriaz, Flaine (27km) and Chamonix (61km) are all within easy driving distance, along with many smaller resorts.

In the summer months the Les Brasses area, which comprises the four villages of Onnion, Bogeve, Saint Jeoire and Viuz-en-Sallaz, is an adventure sports paradise. Visitors can participate in activities ranging from road cycling and mountain biking to paragliding, or take advantage of the leisure facilities that include an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Tour De France climbs nearby are La Clusaz - Col du Aravis (18 km), Le Grand Bornand - Col de la Columbiere (43 km), and Samoens - Joux Plane (29 km)

Onnion is also a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding fabulous Haute Savoie area, with Lake Geneva, Evian and Annecy just a short drive or cycle ride away.
